Meet Brenda Olson

Leadership Built on Service

A lifetime of disciplined service, responsible leadership, and commitment to the people of House District 28.

Brenda Olson
Service. Discipline. Accountability.

A Lifetime of Duty

Brenda Olson is not a career politician. She is a retired United States Air Force veteran and longtime public servant whose life has been defined by responsibility, discipline, and service to others.

Brenda began her Air Force career at a young age and was entrusted with safeguarding national security resources. Her military responsibilities included managing millions of dollars in assets, solving complex problems, and making sound decisions under pressure. That experience taught her that leadership is not about titles—it is about preparation, accountability, and earning the trust of the people you serve.

Her service also took her to Japan, where she learned firsthand how to work across cultural differences, communicate with people from different backgrounds, and approach difficult challenges with an open mind. That experience helped inspire her to pursue an MBA in Global Management and further strengthened her ability to lead in complex environments.

After her military career, Brenda continued serving the public through the USDA Forest Service. Her work required her to interpret federal regulations, apply policy responsibly, and help protect public resources. It gave her a practical understanding of how government decisions affect communities—and why laws and regulations must be clear, accountable, and grounded in common sense.

Brenda is running for the New Mexico House of Representatives because she believes House District 28 deserves a representative who will listen, study the issues, and make careful decisions based on the needs of local families. She will bring the same discipline, openness, and commitment that guided her military and professional service to the Roundhouse in Santa Fe.

Her campaign is rooted in a straightforward promise: protect the Constitution, respect taxpayers, support safer neighborhoods, and ensure government remains accountable to the people it serves.

"I took an oath to protect the Constitution—an oath that does not expire."
